Hi there, welcome to our first blog post!
It's a cold winter's Monday out at Clayton, but Wholefoods is buzzing for the new semester. First and foremost, we've got some pretty exciting events coming up over the next week.
Free Food Mondays (MSA Welfare) are back on tonight from 7pm, and on Wednesday MOVE (Monash Overseas and Exchange Club) are hosting a meetup event for their exchange buddy program.
On Thursday, Wholefoods is hosting our very own meet & greet evening! This'll be a chance for old Wholefoodians to come down and share stories from the break; but also for anyone new around the place to come meet some friendly new faces. Make sure you check out the Facebook event here.
Lastly, the crew from Future Creatives are holding a festival fundraiser on Friday night from 5pm.
In other news, Wholefoods has had a big of a makeover over the break! The stage has moved back front and centre, the floors and windows are looking spick and span, and some of the walls are picking up a bit of colour. We're also looking for some creative input on the yellow planter boxes in our entranceway, as well as the storage cupboards in the corner, so if you've got an an itch to get creating then let us know! We'd love to have you on board.
Finally, there are induction sessions being held every day this week, and some continuing into week 2. If you'd like to learn more about being a volunteer at Wholefoods or sign up for an induction, head on over to www.monashwholefoods.org/volunteer.
